Tactile Ceramics [2017]

A collection of small ceramic objects that explore our tactile relationship with surface and texture.

The pieces are directly informed by the negative space that occupies the palm when the fist is clenched in different positions creating a physical narrative between the material and the body. The forms are made from an agate of white and red clays that are then sandblasted to reveal the textural surfaces.
